A Carolina Custom Pools consultant will help you design the perfect inground pool for your needs. With the knowledge and creativity of our team, we will design a complete custom pool package that will fulfill your backyard dreams.
In the Charlotte metro area, the average construction timeline is roughly 10 to 12 weeks once we break ground. This can vary based on the complexity of your backyard transformation, such as the addition of retaining walls or hardscape decking. We also account for the specific weather patterns in the Carolinas to ensure the structural integrity of your pool is never compromised during the curing and finishing phases.
While every project is unique, most of our custom inground pool projects in York County and Gaston County typically start around $75,000. Our pool packages include everything you need including standard decking. Every yard is different though and there are many factors that can affect the price. For example, slope of the yard, dirt removal, soil conditions, etc. We provide a very thorough and accurate site evaluation and design to ensure the most accurate quote. We don't like to give you a low upfront quote and then hit you with multiple additional charges like so many other pool companies are known for doing.
Our pool company has built pools in all shapes and sizes. We have experience designing and building on some of the most challenging properties. You will be surprised by our innovative solutions that can turn your dreams into a backyard oasis. Before you give up on a small yard or hillside location, call us for advice.
Shotcrete offers unmatched durability and complete design freedom. Unlike pre-made fiberglass shells or limited vinyl shapes, shotcrete is shot on-site, allowing for custom depths, "tanning ledges," and integrated rock waterfalls. It is a permanent structure built with steel rebar that can last 50+ years, making it the best long-term investment for your property value.
Yes! One of the biggest benefits of working with Carolina Custom Pools is that we handle the heavy lifting regarding local regulations. We are well-versed in the specific building codes and permit requirements for York, SC, Gastonia, and Mecklenburg County. From initial site plans to the final inspection, our team manages the paperwork so you can focus on choosing your finishes and features.
These days when people say saltwater pool, they are generally referring to a pool that utilizes a saltwater chlorine generator. The pool is filled with salt to a level between 2700 - 3400 ppm. At that level it is virtually undetectable to you as a swimmer. The salt is used to produce chlorine gas through your salt cell, utilizing electrolysis. The systems can save you money versus purchasing chlorine and can control the level of chlorine input much more efficiently. You check your chlorine levels the same way you check them when you are using a tablet feeder or floating chlorine dispenser.
After we spray the shotcrete shell, it undergoes a 28-day "curing" period to reach its full structural strength. During the first 7–10 days, we lightly spray the shell with water (a "wet cure") to prevent it from drying too fast and cracking. This patience ensures a rock-solid foundation for your tile and plaster finishes.
Both products are shot into place utilizing air pressure, which allows for placement of concrete against earth and outer forms without the need for inner formwork. The difference is how the water is applied. In Shotcrete the concrete is premixed at the Redi-Mix facility, delivered to the site in a concrete truck, and then sprayed on using air pressure. Gunite is delivered dry and the water is applied to the mixture at the nozzle of the sprayer. If applied correctly there is no difference in the strength of the end product. We prefer to use Shotcrete in all our pools, but both Shotcrete and Gunite options are available to you upon request for the same prices.
